Explosives Smuggling Girl Sentenced To 10 Years In Jail

A Zimbabwean lady has been sentenced to 10 years behind bars for smuggling R1.2 million value of explosives.

Lunda Katiyo was arrested in April on the Beitbridge Border Submit between Zimbabwe and South Africa.

The 38-year-old lady was caught with explosives normally used for unlawful mining.

Hawks spokesperson Captain Matimba Maluleke stated: “She was arrested and made a number of court docket appearances with out getting bail till she was convicted and sentenced by the Musina Regional Courtroom on Thursday.”
